Yesterday I was away from my home for more than 15 hours, between 9am and 12:30am. If a couple with a child visited me in my home, I wasn’t there to receive them. Furthermore, I don’t even know any couples with children in this city other than my roommate’s friends who I’ve only met in passing and the people that I’ve babysat for. So, it wasn’t really possible for me to participate in an “interesting discussion” or to make “promising plans for the future.”

Instead, I was busy being in New York to go to a taping of The Daily Show with my boyfriend. I got the tickets last week and had no idea whether or not we’d actually be able to make it, so I’m really happy that everything worked out. The taping itself was fun but slightly disappointing because there wasn’t a guest and a pre-taped video took up two segments of the show. John Oliver was there for a few minutes, but other than that it was just Jon Stewart (who really is very good at his job, in that he is an entertaining and engaging performer). We were in the second row of the studio audience, but stuck behind a really big camera. I chickened out during the pre-show Q&A and didn’t ask Jon Stewart about his favorite Springsteen song, even though I totally should have. But it was still a pretty cool experience and I’m really happy that I got to do it, and especially that I got to share it with S.

Maybe I really am a Virgo.

If you look carefully today, Bethany, you are apt to notice aspects of people that you had never noticed before. There is apt to be a frenzy of activity today that might catch you in its net and take you away. Look to other people for guidance along the way. When you ask for help, you will get it. At the same time, you will learn a great deal about those people who end up helping you.

I didn’t have time to post yesterday, so you lucky few followers were spared. But now you’re going to suffer through two posts in quick succession! Suckers!

Wednesday was a really busy day for me. I felt like I was running around all day and barely got to sit down and breathe, much less “look carefully” for “aspects” of people that I hadn’t “noticed” before. I guess I got ”caught in the net” and didn’t follow Astrocenter’s advice.

But this is really just one of those super vague and nebulous horoscopes that anyone could apply to any day, if they tried hard enough.

I developed a sore throat on Monday night during class and decided to call out of work sick when I woke up on Tuesday and didn’t feel any better. My only social engagements involved sitting on my couch and then going to yoga with my boyfriend, where I sat out half of the class because I felt crappy. I didn’t use any people skills whatsoever, and I spent most of the day at home. 

I’m beginning to understand why nobody has started a tumblr about this and become famous.

Today is a wonderful day for surrounding yourself with those that you love the most, Bethany. How about hosting a get-together with family and friends, full of stimulating conversation, and delicious food and drink. You might, however, at some point feel a little sad, wondering about someone who should be with you but isn’t, missing that person, and speculating about what they may be doing. Concentrate on those there with you. You’re surrounded by love, and likely to remain so.

Christ, Astrocenter, it was a Monday. Even if I didn’t have class until 8pm on Mondays, why would I want to socialize with anyone on purpose? 

I did feel pretty surrounded by love, though, so that’s cool I guess.

You might be considering returning to school and advancing your education. Your mood today should be optimistic and positive, and you could be full of utopian schemes for the future. I want to move to California after I graduate in May, I think, maybe, possibly, probably, oh god I don’t know what I am doing with my life or what is going to happen to me. My former boss sent out an email introducing me to some contacts she has there and one of them told her about a website with job postings for public health organizations, but I haven’t looked at it yet. Does that count?

I’m in school and desperate to be out, so that’s a big fat no for that one. God, Astrocenter.com, you suck at this.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I slept in, got work done at a coffee shop, went to yoga, and did more work. Then we watched an episode of Mad Men and went to sleep. I don’t really have any utopian schemes in mind at this point because a lot is still up in the air, but I am going to start applying to some jobs and stuff.

This hasn’t been very funny or entertaining at all. Maybe tomorrow will be better?
